What is Sim Racing
Sim racing is the combination of software and hardware that replicates real driving conditions on track. Unlike arcade games like Need for Speed or Forza Horizon, simulators use real physics: tire grip, aerodynamics, brake wear, transmission. Real F1 drivers (Verstappen, Leclerc, Russell) all did sim racing.
How much to start
Short answer: €300-€800. The minimum for a decent Direct Drive is Moza R5 (€249) + Evo wheel (€89) + pedals (€149) = €487. With a Logitech G923 (all-in-one at €329) it's less but not a real upgrade.
How to choose your first piece
Golden rule: the wheelbase is the most important investment. If you can afford it, go Direct Drive. The Logitech G27 is fine for trying, but Direct Drive is a different dimension.
