FFB Tuning from Scratch — Set the perfect Force Feedback

FFB Tuning from Scratch — Set the perfect Force Feedback

FFB basics

FFB measures the force (Nm) the wheelbase can deliver. The game calculates forces in play: tire grip, aerodynamics, collisions. The software converts these forces into FFB signal. Two main parameters: gain (volume) and filter (smoothing).

Recommended base setup

Gain at 80-90%, filter 0 default. Increase gain if FFB is too weak. Decrease if you feel jittering or clipping. For Moza R5 at 5 Nm: gain 85%. For Simagic Alpha ULTRA at 14 Nm: gain 70%.

How to verify if FFB is too high

If you feel constant vibration on the wheel, or if the wheel moves itself without input: gain is too high. Reduce by 5% at a time and try again.
