What does 'Nm' mean in Direct Drive
Nm (Newton meter) is the measure of maximum torque the wheelbase can deliver. Less than 5 Nm: entry level (Logitech, Fanatec CS). 5-9 Nm: sweet spot (Moza R5/R9). 10+ Nm: premium (Simagic Alpha, Simucube 3). For serious sim racing, 9+ Nm are recommended.
Ranking by price range
Budget (<€300): Moza R5 at €249. Sweet spot (€400-€700): Moza R9 at €469. Premium (€700-€900): Simagic Alpha at €799. Top (€1000+): Simagic Alpha ULTRA at €1049.
Compatibility with pedals and wheels
All modern wheel bases support standard 7/8" Quick Release. Pedals must be compatible: Moza pure works without wheel base, Fanatec Sport requires a ClubSport base.
